RE: FunAero S.E.5a build

The Funaero kit is just that : a "fun" scale kit. It is not supposed to be museum quality. It just looks terrific in the air and is FUN to fly.

RE: FunAero S.E.5a build

RE: FunAero S.E.5a build

Hi, "Warped One";
I'm using an OS 91 Suprass with the 90 degree manifold so I can route the exhaust out the bottom like they show in the kit. A 14x6 prop is perfect. Even with a heavy hub, I...

Looking at your posts really brings back memories to me. I've been flying mine now for about a year and everyone at our club still loves to see it fly. Keep up the goog work!

RE: FunAero S.E.5a build

Of course, this is a FUNFLY kit. You have already noted that the SE5a has a flat bottomed airfoil. Another deviation is in the lower wing. There is no "notch" where it joins to the fuselage. The...

RE: FunAero S.E.5a build

Mindwarp;
Be sure and check the cabane struts. I've built a couple of these kits and had to re-bend the cabane wires every time. That is the only "klinker" in the kit. This is my favorite plane...
