No prob. Since you are flying in CO, I would prob go with the 140. I fly off grass and use the entire runway to take off so a little more thrust would be nice for take off.

To each his own. I don't want to lose the right to fly turbines at my field . It is a confined space with houses around it and bigger engines will easily take it over the 200mph limit. The fact of...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

After about 30 flights I finally figured out the best way to land this thing at my field. It lands super slow and very easy now. K100 is plenty for my field because it gets from end to end in a...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

The hinge one is pretty far from where you are going to need the glue. You will see there is about a 4-5mm gap in the foam that was cut out to allow the elevator to move. The hinge line is in the...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

You need the Vaseline or wax to keep the glue out of the hinge line or you will have a really tight control surface. The skin was epoxied to the foam when the plane was molded so there will be a...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

I just had to make that repair and have since put 17 flights on mine. I took a brush and spread Vaseline over the inside along the hinge line and then squeezed medium ca under the skin and then just...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Here is mine flying at The First in Flight Rally. Nothing special but the pass at 2:25 shows it still moves pretty good on only 22lbs of thrust. Flew it 14 times there and got comfortable with the...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

When I got the plane the gear worked great, but my buddy told me he had silicone the steering cables. I did it but then it made the wheel turn. Never could figure out why, so I picked it all off and...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Yeah I have always balanced every low wing plane upside down. I balanced upside down for the the first flight, then after the repair I balanced upright since everyone was doing it that way. I...

Me too! :) 10 gallons burned through it and 14 flights. A couple quick clips off the Tv in the hotel. Will post some better video later. Fast pass and a landing. No one could believe it only had...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

By the way, mine is balance in the same place as it was. So the landing characterics were only changed by by reducing flap and adding crow. Put 9 flights on it the past 2 days. I have some video I...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Well 2 flights on the flash today in 20mph cross winds and it lands just fine. 3.5" flap and 3/16 crow was night and day over the 4" flap setup. Very predictable now.

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

I have 50 flights on my Tornado and can tell you it does not land the sme way. I used the same approach I do with my Tornado and every other jet but didn't work out. I got it slow I guess.
