I've always used em but, i know a few people who haven't and they've had no issues with cooling in the tail, Saunders claimed to have had hundreds of flights without them and no issues.

the glow plug insert sets that distance, if you have the temp probe at 12 o'clock just push the turbine as far forward in the clamp as it will go.

no spacers used.

you always need to have the temp probe at 12 o'clock, it's especially important on a kerosene start for optimal temp detection by the ECU during the start so the ramps happen at the right time.

any light gray primer for the base coat, then put a light coat of the textured (and i mean light, this stuff is heavy).

i don't plan to make inside (or outside) repairs, but if i should have to i'd sand the inside area to be repaired and glass over it, then repaint.

in gear down position the valve can be overdriven into the breaks on position, you use a mix between the desired channel and gear, and set it to only work in gear down position.

rattle cans if you are using the textured paint, then mask and paper the outside, make sure you seal up the saddle area when spraying the cockpit so over spray doesn't get anywhere you don't want it.

powerbox sensor is plenty for the Flash. careful with too much flap though, the Ultra is a little more forgiving to flap then the Classic but neither like excessive amounts.
