Just remember, a P180RX has the same size as the P160SX :D
It's a nice plane, you will get very happy with it I'm sure!

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Nope, one of them is with me :D
I have around 1.5 second "slowdown/servoslow" on the flaps, elevator at around 1 sec, at moderate speeds, I don't even notice when I apply flaps, plane just slows...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

We have measured the classic and the ultra, both with P160SX engines, coming out of a flat large turn, they both do around 370 km/h (230 mph)
A Rookie II is around the same speed +/- only a few mph...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Much much better, I'm an old chap at 45 years, have 20% vision on right eye, -2.5 correction on the left eye , so seeing the jolly roger was sometimes a PITA at long distance, this one is super...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Nope, don't have one handy of the receiver in the UF, but I have this from my old Classic Flash, the equipment is located 100% the same in my UF

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Absolutely :D
I'm using a 14MZ with weatronics, receiver is a Micro 12 in the Flash (using a combination of Micro 12 and 12-22 receivers in all my jets)

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

I have wrapped mine (also did the same on my CF) with "ceramic heat blanket" from Als Hobbies, I don't like the idea of "the outer tube does not normally get warm", sometimes things are not "normal"...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

Wonder if there is something changed in the "new versions" of the UF ?

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

My old Flash had reversed the tanks (emptied the main first), every drop came out of that one.
Now, with all the writing here about how good the stock setup is, I decided to try the stock...

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

My "classic" Flash with a P160SX, fueled weight of 13 kg, does 351 km/h when pushed, measure multiple times in 0 wind, with a pro radargun
A Rookie II with a P160SE does 390 km/h on the same gun

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video

I can see that CARF has the Graupner DES 707 servo on their "combo" page for the UF, have any of you experience with this servo in the UF (or any other plane for that matter...) ?
