thank you
acceleration and deceleration delay at 4 with pump diesel and KT oil.
Expo at linear.
Usually able to hover after 2 mins of flying with 7L of diesel at start.

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, my name is Matteo, I've a Maphisto v1, crashed, got it from a friend. I'm fixing it and converting it to V2, is it possible for someone to send me a picture with the specification of the turbolators? I need distance between eachother and size. Thanks in advance.

Is good but if you could take the picture exactly from a vertical position and with the measurement close to the turbolators would be amazing
thanks

It’s not that fussy, height above and below would be more important, just space the four equally.

They vary from 4mm to 8mm in height from lowest to highest point on mine. They are kind of irregular! So a level place on top of them will rock. You don't want to copy that! LOL Since yours will simply be placed on top of the surface I would suggest 5-7mm all the same size. And make some extras for, well, you know

Finally building a bit. Progress report:
Glued in fuel tank formers and assembled smoke tank rack. The smoke tank rack is too wide to go on the CG, it will go further forward but will still require tapering off 3mm or so from each side.
Installed main gear. On both sides, with the gear hard against the spar tube, the tires are against the ply/foam wing structure. On one side this required just a slight 1mm ground away to allow the tire to turn, on the other side I had to grind about 5mm, so right through the ply into the foam, to allow clearance. I'll reinforce the other side although I don't think that structure carries much load. But please notify CARF that the factory is letting the tolerances slip on those spars.

My Mephisto is the dual fuel tank (saddle tank) setup. I purchased a KT UAT with my KT320. Plumbing Options are get a different UAT with two tank feeds, use the UAT I have with a “T” in the fuel lines from the two tanks, or someone suggested running the two tanks in series, which I had not considered. Are there pros or cons to this?

Contact MAP and get one of their new twin inlet UAT’s they are much better than the ‘bling’ types...

Ah yes the Electron legs straight out of the box, full extension as far as I can see, I’ll measure but I am not aware of any adjustability.
Do you know who carries MAP Products here in USA? I certainly didn’t want or need the popular and very expensive traps in Vogue now. Never saw the use of some of those metallic filter elements either.

Few more photos of the Mephisto I recently finished up for a customer. He is self quarantined at the moment so it will be a few weeks before he sees it in person. I think he will be happy

Very nice setup!
Can someone please measure for me the diameter of the vertical stabilizer aluminium tube? I've to get some for mine that are missing and I can't figure out the exact diameter, I'm between 19 to 20 mm!
Thanks

OMG!....Look at all the excess glue oozing out. That has got to weight at least an extra gram or two. Will you grind this away?

Danny

You joke about a bit of excess glue...bless.

Just as a point of personal interest did you weight the finished model? I know you have lights on that one, but we have finished a V2 aiming for the lightest weight possible, to see if we could build a 300 powered version under 20kg dry and it would be interesting to compare a minimalistic installation to your style. It’s not possible to get to our UK 20kg dry weight!

Stay safe

Dave
