RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Black Horse does not make the plane anymore from what I understand. There may be a few retailers somewhere in the world that still have a couple, but will take some searching to find.
Too bad too...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Part of the reason is because the downlocks work better at that inward rake of the gear then if the struts came down 90 degrees. Its a mechanical advantage for side load forces since they...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Not asking you to prove a point, just asked if you' tried other radio's/rx's thats all. Send them set back to Horizon and get them to send you a completely different set.

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

I have a set of them and have never had any issues at all. I've got a Spektrum 7 channel 2.4g rx.
Have you tested other retracts(or a servo that would actuate an air valve) with that radio/rx...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

You could get a Graupner 16x8 3 blade. They tend to be a bit heavier then MAS props....might load the motor. I think that Troybuilt might have a 17x8 3 blade, just dont remember if its Biela or one...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

True..which just signifies one more out of scale aspect to the BH. It flies well tho.

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Consider getting the ESM fw-190A retracts. Its the same size plane....the retracts come with aluminim oleo struts PLUS aluminum hubbed wheels(the air versions). The gear are proper scale angle. I...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Sorry, but no. BH is the house brand of the retailer...... Hobby-people.net. The manufacturer in China is not OWNED by hobby-people and produces products for various companies under whatever name...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

It is possible that Graupner is labeling some stuff they sell now(or recent past) that are the same planes BH sells. However, in both cases, the planes are manufactured in China or Vietnam, so BH is...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Its possible they are now, but graupner has been making planes long before BH and hobbypeople ever existed. It is a common practice though. There are planes with Ripmax name on them, but are also...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Agreed ^^ Choice is a good thing for sure.

Still wish Graupner would continue making warbirds, or at least made available here in the US. I have both the Fw-190D9 and the HE-111. Similar lack...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Your mostly baseless arguments are littered with errors. KMP is not the same as ESM. ESM is the plane manufacturer and KMP was a prior distributor from Canada that held the original distribution...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Glad you have enthusiasm for this plane....but my god man, stop just throwing out blanket ridiculous comments you have no way to backup. No one knows how many planes ESM sells but them and their...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Pitts bi-planes are rather narrow landing gear. Also, the wing shape has something to do with its ability to stay stable. The real airplane is a very acrobatic beast, but to do that means its got to...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Your quote from the book is fine....except it does NOT take into account model size as it increases wingspan/wingarea to wingloading. I do agree with you that a lighter wingloading plane is easier...

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

As a note
.....I got an email from Hobby-people that BH has lowered the price on all their planes to hobbypeople, so once again, the BH FW-190 is reduced price to $399 for anyone that was wavering....

RE: Black Horse Models FW190 A8 70

Nice looking FW-190. And for its size relative to weight...yea its a kite with a motor. That being said.....the outline is better then the ESM FW-190A regarding the gun hood, but, the ESM one is far...
