Slats plus flaps increases the wing camber. This inreases the lift of the wing and allows the wing to stall later so slower flight speeds are possible.
Flaps only is like above just less effective....

Your right its not for me. I know what it takes...

Your right its not for me. I know what it takes to manufacture these things and I know its just ridiculous to charge so much just for the landing gear. For that price I can design and produce it...

I dont understand the price for the landing gear. By now SM/Kai should have production figured out in such a way as to offer these "optional" items for much less money across the board on all planes....
