Guys,
Progress on the Trojan front.
Finally got the Dive Brake done (Whew)
Started laying down rivets (have to order at least 4 more sheets) and will drill holes in the wing tips for the Nav lites today...
Plug is done and ready for my friend to vacuum form windscreen (Boyd, he's making you 2)
Now angsting over whether I should do the wing fairing or not... ordered some .010 G10 for it so....

Okay guys,
Latest update.
Here is a pix of the first vacuum formed windscreen, will get to see it Tuesday when I see my friend.
Here is something interesting I just figured out, I was trying to wrap the wing with wax paper to make the wing fillets and the paper kept wrinkling.
So I decided to try some thing else, I put down a strip of 3M Platinum painters tape and mixed up some micro balloons, applied it to the tape and let it setup really hard, it released from the tape as nicely as could be, can't wait to see how it REALLY does. On the pix of the plane you will see a piece of G10 that I am using to keep the thin edge of the micro balloons from chipping.

Temp in garage hovers around 84 in the AM and steadily climbs to 95 by 3 PM.
Got the rivets from Chad but am now fixing the Avenger wing so Trojan is sitting on the side lines

Okay guys,
So it's been awhile since I was doing repairs to the Avenger wing panel.
Here is a shot of the Trojan wing fairing done with Micro balloons, garage was 95 this morning when I mixed and applied.
Mixture flashed in 25 minutes and right after I finished the 2nd side.
Not sure if I will enlarge the fairing or leave it the size it is, will try and separate wing and fuse tomorrow AM, keep your fingers crossed that it's a clean separation

The rivets look good. I just received an order from Chad so that I don't have to do the needle method.
You need a big fan from your employer to cool down the garage. Better yet, have them donate a swamp cooler.

Thanks guys.
Swamp cooler would be great except for the moisture. Second coat worked great, broke the back of the section that the air brake sits in. Oh well one more thing to fix before going back to riveting wing and adding access panels.

Haboob and monsoon hit last night, wind gusts upto 75mph reported.
Garage was 90 at 5AM this morning cool enough to do the epoxy fix on the trojan wing.
going to pick up some styrene this morning to cut the access hatches while the epoxy sets.

So working on the wing rivets and access panels, garage hovering between 91 AM (read 5:30AM) and 100 PM (3PM)
Can only do about 15 - 20 mins at a time before heat stroke starts to set in LOL
I am now again dreaming of rivets while I sleep as this puppy has thousands
Here is a pix of one wing half about 33% done....

Okay guys,
Here's the latest update, rivets down and glued on the wing
Next up is fitting the piece that fits into the rudder from the fuselage and finishing up the micro balloons wing fairing....
Still need to figure out what I did to the flap horn as it doesn't seem to be drilled though I did have them working in NY, very strange. Thinking I may need to add a piece to what's there
