Salve,
I´ve bought a Mini at JetPower Fair.
The recomended servos of AD are not realy my choise.
I make new servo-covers of CFK and install KST X10 Mini.
Turbine will be a Jets Munt Merlin 100.
Waiting for some parts for the landing gear and then the Mini is ready for maiden.
Is it realy true, that the elevator ist 4mm up at neutral trim?
If yes, then there is something wrong with the angle between wing and stab !
The manual of the Big Diamond dont describes an uptrim.
Regards
Thomas

I took the plunge and upgraded to a 147N (34lbs) Jet Central Cheetah SP. I must say I like it!! With the JetsMunt Merlin 100xbl my top speed was in the 160's, know lets just say I'm around 199.7 mph. Everything fit great and no extra lead needed to balance (removed lead needed for the 100 and a 2S 2200mah lipo and added the 3S Life 3800 for the Cheetah) at about 27.6 lbs AUW with 34 lbs or thrust. Also want to thank one of our GA Jets Club members Desert Fox 1(youtube: Rmshump) for taking such great videos and doing such a great job of editing!!! Enjoy!!

Salve,
ready for maiden. If the weather is OK I will do it tomorrow or an Thursday.
dry weight is 9,25Kg (20,4lbs) + 2,5L fuel in a Platypus = 11,35Kg TOW (25lbs)
I think it is easy going for the Merlin 100.
Did you use a little bit flaps down for the take of?
Have you changed the settings of the manual after the first flights, or they are OK?
The expo settings are low (elevator only 10%) is this OK, or is the plane to nervously with this?
Regards
Thomas

Salve,
maiden is done.
Fly´s like on rails, but not so fast I hoped.
I remove the 4mm up trim of elevator to 2mm up trim to fly in level.
All settings from the manual are right, nothing to change.
Great plane.
Thank you for your informations ML.

I wanted to share that I recently purchased the larger tank from CMJ. The stock tank is 2.5L and this one is 3.2L. This should allow me to take advantage of my cheetah without the sub 5 min flight times!

Just wondering, are you dealing with a local shop or Aviation Design directly? I dealt with Corinne Rantet at Aviation design and she was always johnny on the spot and made my overseas purchase painless!

I just measured the actual fuel gain and I was a little disappointed! With the stock tank, it's advertised as a 2.5L and it had 2.1L usable. This tank is advertised as a 3.2L it has 2.4L usable. FYI, these numbers come from using a 2 liter graduated cylinder and pumping out the usable fuel (this is done on all of my planes to calibrate my fuel telemetry).

Hello
B140F (145N thrust)
2,5L fuel in a Platypus-bag, real airtime 6 minutes.
Fuel at the end is enough for 1 turn around.
Flying style "fast"
I installed a gear door for the nosegear. it will make the diamond a little bit faster (400km/h) and more quiet.
Regards
