That was an LED set. Purchased in 2017 (we started keeping track). 4 years for an Christmas string isn't terrible. I was just irked that I tested, it was fine, and I got burned anyway.

I got a pair of curved scissors for cutting lexan. I also got a 3d printer, anxious to try and print some parts.
Did get my son an Axial Capra, he likes it a lot.
Got my niece a 1/18 Axial Yeti Jr Can-Am. No idea if she's driven it yet.

well just finished the first lawn mow of the new year. it was a little wet and i had to mow dog poop cause i couldn't find any of it but they're talking more rain Tuesday so i had to squeeze it in today cause it was majorly over grown. the good news is the grass i planted back in probably October has come in really nicely, the grass i planed in i think November is coming in, a bit thin and patchy, but growing so im not complaining. ill have to put more seed down in early spring to fill in the gaps and thicken it up a bit.
also kind of shocking is that the only crab and Bermuda grass growing is in the flowerbed. sense all the plants are in pots i hit the flowerbed heavy with roundup.
really hoping i can have a decent lawn and clean the patio up so i can use it this summer.

I'm torn - cutting grass vs shoveling snow. We've had little snow here so far so snow wins for now. I've had winters where it snows enough that you're shoveling every couple days - that sucks. Overall I'm less a fan of snow every year.

iv never had to shovel snow. and sense i live in the suburbs the houses are all on quarter acre lots i don't have much yard to have to mow. i can literally edge, mow, and blow it all down in less than 15 minutes. but there is something satisfying about seeing your yard over grown and then mowing it and seeing it pristinely mowed. if i had a few acres to contend with im not sure id feel the same way.

and on a non lawn note. i just fixed my CD changer. the band that has something to do with ejecting the CD tray somehow came off and got tangled up in the pully. got that off and installed a new band and it's working like new again. this is i think the third time iv had to replace that band. which isn't bad when you consider i think i bought that CD changer in 1997.

I have .6 acre, not big. I usually ride it to cut. Occasionally I will push the front, it does a nicer job. I'm the guy on the street with one of the most dandelions and I cut a little less than most of my neighbors. I'm not a yard work fan. I have a couple rentals and I do cut grass at one of them. It's a tiny city lot, but it's still a pain.
Thank god my driveway is flat, sometimes I can get away with not shoveling. Western PA is hilly in general, my yard is hilly.

i just fixed my CD changer.
Dude, go digital! I still buy/collect cd's but I rip them to my network for playing and copying to my phone. Although I'm sure you've considered that by this time.

i also still buy/collect CD's and iv got all my CD's ripped and on my laptop. plus a few thousand MP3's left over from the kazaa/limewire days. i also still use ipods. plus iv loaded up an old phone. i also have a headphone jack adapter for my stereo. thing is, the sound quality is better off CD's.

I agree, I hate buying MP3s due to the lower quality. I've bought 'albums' of files from Qobuz, they sell lossless. I'll buy stuff from them that the disks are rare, out of print, etc.. I ripped all my cds lossless so that when I play them at home I get full quality.

I don't have as many mp3s as I once did, lost a hard drive full of files from kazaa/limewire, and my main go to back then usenet.

I dont throw much away, there's probably a 100 disk changer in my attic. Probably a 5 disk changer up there somewhere too.

I keep hanging on to the old vcr due to the wedding video. Should probably have that converted to digital [sarcasm] because we watch it all the time [/sarcasm]

i want to drive an RC but my schedule and the weather isn't cooperating. iv got to run a few errands tomorrow after work and it'll be dark when i get home. and it's supposed to rain this weekend and maybe even Monday. so it won't be dry until probably Wednesday... kinda thinking nitro RS4 2... will probably just keep it easy and just grab the SC10 though... should probably take the Apex Mini (RC18R), haven't run that in well over a year...

Don't know if anyone else wonders about ordering from aliexpress. I have a few rc parts on hand for an upcoming project that I got from there. Temporarily on hold due to a recent surgery. But I did get a set of tpms sensors from there, $25 for set of four, and they work. I'll be honest, I wasn't sure they would. Although I still think you take your chances ordering from there.

i never trust places like that. even if they're proven to be legit. i expect everything to be a cheap Chinese knockoff that "works" until it doesn't. kind of that typical you get what you pay for thing.

You're probably right, I was ok with the tire light. It's a set of nice rims I picked up for my car off Facebook. If they continue to work it was 25 bucks, if they fail, well it was only 25

one for the "ewwww, files"
i just cleaned the "fart fan" in the bathroom and there was a big ass dead cockroach in it. it had to have come in through the vent on the side of the house, went through the duct and got stuck in there. i haven't cleaned that fan in probably 6 months so who knows how long it's been in there. so iv got a slight case of the heebie-jeebies.
